Running to Lose Weight Makes You Feel GOOD!

Running to lose weight really can make you feel good, in a number of ways. Firstly you get a great sense of satisfaction at burning all those calories. You can feel yourself moving towards the sexy slim body you were looking for, and that gives anyone a warm glow.

Next you can be sure that you are burning through as many calories in a given period of time as is possible, but without having to waste money on a gym membership. Incidentally, you also don't have to waste your hard-earned cash on the latest faddy diet!

Running is also a great way of getting time on your own to think things through. Often these days it seems like we don't have a minute to spare to think about what is important to us.

Running solves that.

You are on your own, and you can think about whatever you like. Look on it as your own private therapy session. And many people comment that a burst of exercise makes them feel brighter and more creative. Stuck in a rut? Go for a run, burn some calories and find the solution to your problems. What could be better!

Next there is the sense of achievement. It's a good idea to keep a record of your runs. That way you can really monitor you progress easily. If that sounds too geeky for you, don't forget that your running log can be a great source of feeling good about yourself.. If you haven't exercised for years, imagine how good it feels to do your first 5-mile run. Then running 50 miles in month. And so on. If you don't keep a record it's easy to forget just how good you are!

Finally, don't forget the endorphins. These are your body's natural feel good chemicals. After vigorous exercise your body releases loads of them, and this is what makes you feel really good after a good run. Even if the weather has been foul you still end up feeling great. And imagine how much better you will feel when you have lost the weight that's been burdening you. Your sexy beach body will certainly make you (and those around you) feel GOOD!

Rob Knowles started running to lose weight years ago, and much to his surprise he liked it. Having hated all forms of exercise at school, he actually found running enjoyable. Not to mention the fact that it really does help with weight loss. And gives many other great health benefits!
